How to Add Words to Your Word List
Follow these simple steps to build your spelling practice list
Choose Your Group
At the top of the screen, you'll see a dropdown menu labeled "Select Group".
Click on it to see all your word groups (like "Week 1", "Science Words", or "Default"). Choose the group where you want to add your new words.
💡 Tip: If you haven't created any groups yet, the app will have a "Default" group ready for you.
Type Your Word
In the large text box that says "Enter a word...", click inside and type the word you want to add.
Don't worry about capital letters – the app will automatically capitalize the first letter for you!
Example: If you type "elephant", it will be saved as "Elephant".
Click the "Add" Button
After typing your word, click the green "Add" button (with a plus sign ➕) next to the text box.
Your word will instantly appear in the list below! The text box will clear, ready for you to add another word.
⌨️ Keyboard shortcut: You can also press Enter instead of clicking the button!
Manage Your Words
Once you've added words, you'll see them in a list below the Add button. Here's what you can do:
Listen to a Word
Click the speaker icon (🔊) next to any word to hear it pronounced out loud.
Reorder Words
Click and hold the grip lines (⋮⋮) on the left side of any word, then drag it up or down to change the order.
Delete a Word
Hover your mouse over a word and a trash can icon will appear on the right. Click it to remove that word.

- • Start with 10-15 words per group for effective practice sessions
- • Group words by theme (like "animals", "weather") or difficulty level
- • Add words before school lessons to prepare, or after to review
- • Your words are saved automatically in your browser
